I looked out the window Thursday and saw something in our driveway...then I realized it was a turtle. While I was getting my camera, he started walking but as soon as I opened the door he stopped. I didn't get too close because I thought he might be a snapping turtle.

Nice capture! Last summer my kids caught a huge snapping turtle and my nephew's father took it and made turtle soup - NOT kidding!
Love it! We once caught a wee baby snapping turtle. Cute when small!
Dad said that the turtle is a loggerhead...the "bad" bite and don't let go kind!
Cute little guy,...he's got an interesting tail...I think our turtles around here all have short tails.
