See I can't even get these up on Thursday and I don't necessarily like the quality of either of them. I hate taking pictures inside my house. I never can seem to get the settings right. But I thought they were cute enough to share.

Micah was playing with these tangram shapes during school time and she put the bucket on her head. Of course, anytime I go to take her picture she wants me to take 3 of them, because she's 3 of course!

When I was putting my camera up, Cole climbed onto to the bucket of books and grabbed this book "to read". He just looked so cute. It was a little blurry so I thought that the sepia made it look a little better.

I want to try to do more with my photography than I did last year. I became such a slacker! But I don't know how many opportunities I'm going to get with a new baby on the way. Deb has an opportunity to share any type of photos on Thursday called "This or That Thursday". I love Deb's photos and thought this was something that I could participate in when I had the chance.

So here's my picture for today. Cole writing with chalk on a Thursday afteroon. He's the baby right now, but not for much longer. So it's great to capture these photos. They grow so fast, don't they!

MCP Project 12-1 ~ Resolution

My resolution is to read through the Bible in a year. I took a similar picture of this same thing last year for a scavenger hunt. I got further along last year than I did in 2010, but I still never made it all the way through. My kids took my Bible outside one day and lost my paper that had where I was in my reading and I couldn't remember.

Since we ended the Mommytography 365 project last year, my photography has been on the back burner. I didn’t think I could do a 365 project this year with a new baby coming in February. I thought about doing a 52 week project, but still didn’t know if I could keep up with that with a new baby, homeschooling, church activities, etc. However, this year MCP is doing a Project 12 which allows the participant to take a month to take a photo or multiple photos based on the theme. I figure I should be able to keep up with this.

I'm trying to get caught up with my 365 project. I feel like such a slacker. I always made fun of the people who said they were too busy but now that's me. Between VBS, birthday parties, school work, etc. I haven't had time to post. I don't really think things are slowing down so I'm going to move to weekly posting for now.

gas prices – I originally just took some of signs while driving around this week. But after driving the kids to camp all week, I ended up having to get some gas so I was able to get a different shot that I like better.
hot dog and/or hamburger – We specifically went to Sonic one day for lunch so I could get a hotdog. And we ate outside in the 100 degree heat so I could take the picture.
ice – our extra ice bowl we keep in the freezer
your favorite tv show or movie – Ever since I was little, Grease has been my favorite movie. I love singing along with all the songs…if it’s on tv, I usually turn it on. It wasn’t till I was older that I realized it probably wasn’t appropriate for kids…so I guess that’s explains why I only have a vcr tape of it and not a dvd.
a bird house – it’s hanging on a tree at a house at the end of our street
reflection of the sky – I’ve been in the van a lot this week taking the kids back and forth to music camp. This was taken in the side mirror. It’s a reflection of the side of the van with a reflection of the clouds.
wheel(s) – not really a Hot Wheels car, but still has wheels
clock – I kept debating on which clock to take a picture of. We have many around the house. Then I noticed these 2 clocks. One is in our living room. The other is right outside the back door. However, neither of them have the right time. The one inside doesn’t even have a battery in it!
summer shoes (sandals, flip flops) – How’s this for summer shoes? I have 3 rows for summer shoes and only 1 for winter shoes. Normally they’re not that organized. They’re usually in a heap on the floor.
milk – Pouring milk on cereal. I’m one of those ~~bad~~ fun moms that lets their kids eat Cocoa Puffs. Actually I was the one who ate that bowl!
dust – Do you think I need to dust at all? This is the bottom of a college type desk that sits in our bedroom.
the name of your state – I debated on what to take a picture of for this as well. I had a few thoughts, but they all had to do with a college. Craig went to Louisiana Tech and I went to LSU. So we have plenty of things with the word Louisiana on it. I took this while I was waiting for the kids to get out of their music camp. Also it’s not very common for LSU to be spelled out.
spell your name with a food – Of course, with my name being Candi I wanted to use candy to spell out my name. I wanted something colorful so I bought M&M’s, but since I wanted to eat them later I didn’t want the plain ones. So I bought the dark chocolate with peanuts. However, this made it harder to spell out my name since they were uneven and kept wanting to move around. (Side note: Luke read the list of items for the scavenger hunt and spelled out my name in pretzel sticks when he was eating a snack. But he never took a picture of it because he said the tablecloth wasn’t a good background…LOL!)
your favorite store – Sorry, but I’m one of those people who love Walmart! You can buy almost anything there and don’t have to run all over town making different stops. Plus they have an easy return policy…notice I have something in my buggy to return.

Yesterday morning, I started by taking a picture of the hose since Craig was watering the flower bed & obviously the sidewalk too. But not too creative.

Later in the afternoon I attempted to do the water drops like Jodi's tutorial. However, I was too lazy to set up my tripod & use the remote so that might explain why they were still kinda blurry. Some of them turned out cool, but when I went into crop they lost resolution. I did some different things in photoshop just for fun.

I watched the other tutorial but didn't really feel like spending time to set it up. Then I decided it was time for my afternoon coffee. So I captured some of those drops.

This morning we finally got some much needed rain around here so I decided to capture a water drop from God. I like how the drop is clear but everything else around is blurry.

Kristal, I thought of Mr. C when I was taking this picture. This is a green anole lizard...around here we just call them lizards or chameleons b/c they do change colors.

Here's another I took of him with his extended dewlap which they use to court females.
The next day, I caught another one on our back stair case doing it again. That's how common they are around here. Little boys love to catch them...and also some big boys too, right Zee Zee?
